TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Common Scents Dog Training Mobile Application
Effective Date: August 27, 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Common Scents Dog Training mobile application (“App”), operated by Common Scents Dog Training LLC, a Kansas limited liability company (“Common Scents,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By downloading, accessing, creating an account through, purchasing through, or otherwise using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the App.
1. ELIGIBILITY
You must be at least eighteen (18) years old to create an account, purchase services, participate in the community, or otherwise use the App.
By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
2. PURPOSE OF THE APP
The Common Scents Dog Training App provides access to dog-training education and related services, which may include:
Educational courses and training materials;
Videos, written lessons, demonstrations, and other educational resources;
Membership content;
Community discussions and interactions;
Live video calls, workshops, and question-and-answer sessions;
The ability to submit photographs or videos for review;
Trainer feedback;
Dog-training programs and exercises;
Digital products;
Memberships and subscriptions; and
Other dog-training-related resources and services.
Features and services available through the App may change from time to time.
3. EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE AND PROFESSIONAL DISCLAIMER
Information provided through the App is intended for educational and informational purposes.
Use of the App does not create a veterinarian-client-patient relationship and is not a substitute for veterinary diagnosis, treatment, emergency veterinary care, or other appropriate professional services.
Although Common Scents Dog Training LLC provides professional dog-training education and may provide individualized feedback through certain services, no information provided through the App should be interpreted as a guarantee that a particular technique, exercise, recommendation, or training strategy is appropriate for every dog or situation.
Dogs are individual living animals whose behavior may be influenced by genetics, learning history, physical health, environment, age, experiences, emotional state, and numerous other factors.
You are responsible for determining whether you can safely perform any activity described or demonstrated through the App.
When appropriate, users should consult a veterinarian, veterinary behaviorist, qualified dog-training professional, or other appropriate professional before implementing training recommendations.
4. NO GUARANTEE OF RESULTS
COMMON SCENTS DOG TRAINING LLC DOES NOT GUARANTEE ANY SPECIFIC TRAINING OR BEHAVIORAL RESULT.
Dog behavior cannot be guaranteed.
We do not guarantee that participation in a course, membership, live call, video review, training exercise, or other service will eliminate, prevent, improve, or modify any particular behavior.
Examples, testimonials, case studies, demonstrations, client stories, before-and-after descriptions, or other results presented through the App represent individual experiences and are not promises or guarantees that another user or dog will achieve the same or similar results.
Results vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the individual dog, genetics, health, environment, learning history, owner participation, consistency, implementation, and circumstances outside our control.
5. ASSUMPTION OF RISK
You acknowledge that interacting with and training dogs involves inherent and unpredictable risks.
Dogs may bite, scratch, jump, pull, knock people down, fight with other animals, damage property, escape restraint, react unpredictably, or otherwise cause injury, illness, death, or property damage.
Training activities may also involve physical movement, equipment, outdoor environments, other animals, vehicles, public locations, environmental hazards, and other risks.
By choosing to perform an activity, exercise, technique, or recommendation provided through the App, you voluntarily assume the risks associated with that activity.
You are solely responsible for:
Maintaining physical control and supervision of your dog;
Selecting appropriate training environments;
Using appropriate equipment;
Maintaining safe distances from people and animals;
Complying with applicable laws and regulations;
Determining whether your dog is physically and behaviorally capable of participating;
Protecting yourself, your dog, other animals, and third parties; and
Discontinuing an exercise or activity when you believe continuing would be unsafe.
If you believe your dog presents an immediate danger to you, another person, or another animal, you should seek appropriate in-person professional assistance.
6. RELEASE AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOU AGREE THAT COMMON SCENTS DOG TRAINING LLC, ITS OWNERS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, TRAINERS, REPRESENTATIVES, AFFILIATES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INJURY, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE, LOSS, CLAIM, COST, OR OTHER DAMAGE ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, PARTICIPATION IN TRAINING ACTIVITIES, IMPLEMENTATION OF INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE APP, OR INTERACTIONS WITH YOUR DOG OR OTHER ANIMALS.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COMMON SCENTS DOG TRAINING LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF BUSINESS, PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, OR OTHER LOSSES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO USE OF THE APP.
You understand that you remain responsible for your decisions regarding your dog and for the manner in which you implement information obtained through the App.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
7. USER-SUBMITTED VIDEOS, PHOTOS, AND OTHER CONTENT
The App may permit users to submit videos, photographs, comments, questions, posts, messages, and other materials (“User Content”).
You retain ownership of User Content you create.
By submitting User Content to Common Scents through the App, you grant Common Scents Dog Training LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to access, store, reproduce, display, and use that User Content as reasonably necessary to operate the App, provide the requested service, review training submissions, communicate with you, moderate the community, and maintain business records.
Submitting a video or photograph for trainer review authorizes Common Scents Dog Training LLC and its authorized trainers or staff to view and evaluate that material for purposes of providing the requested service.
Submitting content through the App does not automatically give Common Scents permission to use your photographs or videos publicly for advertising, social media, promotional materials, or unrelated marketing purposes. Separate permission may be requested for those uses.
You represent that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit any User Content you upload.
8. COMMUNITY STANDARDS
The App may include community areas where members can interact with one another.
Users may not post or transmit content that:
Threatens, harasses, abuses, or targets another person;
Contains unlawful, hateful, discriminatory, obscene, or sexually explicit material;
Encourages animal cruelty or intentional harm to an animal;
Promotes dangerous conduct;
Infringes intellectual property or privacy rights;
Contains spam, scams, deceptive promotions, or unauthorized advertising;
Impersonates another person;
Discloses another person's private information without permission; or
Otherwise interferes with the safe operation of the community.
Common Scents Dog Training LLC reserves the right to moderate, restrict, remove, or delete content and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or community standards.
Users may report inappropriate content or behavior through available App reporting features or by contacting info@commonscentsdogtraining.com.
9. TRAINER FEEDBACK AND VIDEO REVIEW
Video review, live calls, comments, responses, and other trainer feedback are based on the information reasonably available to the trainer at the time.
A video provides only a limited view of an animal's behavior, environment, history, and circumstances.
Trainer feedback provided from a submitted video should therefore not be interpreted as a comprehensive behavioral evaluation, veterinary assessment, diagnosis, or guarantee of future behavior.
Common Scents may recommend that a user discontinue an activity or seek veterinary care, an in-person evaluation, or another professional service when appropriate.
10. LIVE VIDEO CALLS
Certain memberships or services may include live video calls, workshops, coaching sessions, or question-and-answer sessions.
Participation does not guarantee that every individual question will be answered or that every participant will receive individualized coaching during a particular call.
Calls may be recorded for educational purposes and made available to eligible App users.
Users should avoid sharing sensitive personal information during recorded calls.
When a live session will be recorded, participants will be notified as appropriate.
11. PURCHASES AND SUBSCRIPTIONS
Certain features, memberships, courses, or services available through the App require payment.
Prices, billing periods, subscription benefits, and other purchase terms will be disclosed at the time of purchase.
Recurring memberships or subscriptions will continue and renew according to the terms presented during purchase until canceled.
Users are responsible for reviewing all pricing and subscription information before completing a purchase.
Purchases processed through Apple, Google, or another third-party payment provider may also be governed by that provider's payment and subscription terms.
12. CANCELLATION
Subscriptions may be canceled at any time.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law or the applicable payment provider, cancellation prevents future renewal and does not retroactively cancel charges that have already been processed.
Where applicable, access may continue through the remainder of the user's already-paid billing period.
Users who purchase subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play may be required to manage cancellation through the applicable platform.
Deleting the App from your device does not necessarily cancel an active subscription.
13. REFUND POLICY
ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
Common Scents Dog Training LLC does not provide refunds, partial refunds, prorated refunds, credits, or exchanges for App purchases, memberships, subscriptions, courses, digital products, missed live calls, unused services, or partially completed programs, except where a refund is required by applicable law or applicable Apple App Store, Google Play, or payment-provider rules.
Canceling a recurring subscription prevents future renewal but does not entitle the user to a refund for amounts already charged except where otherwise required.
Users are responsible for canceling subscriptions before their next renewal date if they do not wish to be charged for another billing period.
14. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All App content provided by Common Scents Dog Training LLC—including, without limitation, videos, courses, lesson plans, written materials, graphics, worksheets, training systems, downloads, recordings, presentations, logos, branding, photographs, and other materials—is owned by or licensed to Common Scents Dog Training LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Your purchase or membership grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access the applicable materials for your own personal use.
You may not, without prior written permission:
Copy or reproduce App content;
Record or redistribute courses or live calls;
Share login credentials;
Share paid materials with nonmembers;
Download materials except where downloading is specifically enabled;
Resell or sublicense App content;
Publish App materials elsewhere;
Use Common Scents materials to create or provide competing commercial training products or services; or
Represent Common Scents materials as your own.
Unauthorized use may result in termination of access and may subject the user to legal action.
15. ACCOUNT SECURITY
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information and for activities occurring through your account.
Accounts are intended for individual use and may not be shared with other individuals unless expressly permitted by Common Scents.
Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
16. ACCOUNT TERMINATION
Common Scents Dog Training LLC may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the App when we reasonably believe a user has:
Violated these Terms;
Harassed another user or member of our staff;
Engaged in fraudulent activity;
Shared protected or paid content without authorization;
Created safety concerns;
Abused community features; or
Otherwise materially interfered with the operation of the App or community.
Termination for violation of these Terms does not automatically entitle the user to a refund.
Users may stop using the App at any time.
17. ACCOUNT DELETION
Users may request deletion of their App account and associated personal information through the account-deletion functionality provided within the App.
Deletion of an account does not necessarily cancel an active subscription processed by Apple, Google, or another third-party provider. Users remain responsible for canceling applicable subscriptions through the appropriate subscription-management system.
Certain information may be retained when reasonably necessary or legally required, including records necessary for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or other legal obligations.
Account deletion and personal information are also governed by the Common Scents Dog Training Mobile App Privacy Policy.
18. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The App may rely upon or integrate with third-party platforms, payment processors, video-conferencing providers, hosting providers, notification services, app stores, and other technology providers.
Common Scents Dog Training LLC does not control and is not responsible for interruptions, outages, changes, security incidents, or other acts or omissions of third-party services beyond our reasonable control.
Your use of third-party services may also be subject to their respective terms and policies.
19. APP AVAILABILITY
We do not guarantee that the App or any particular feature will be available continuously or without interruption.
We may modify, replace, suspend, discontinue, or update App functionality, features, content, courses, community features, schedules, or services when reasonably necessary.
We may perform maintenance or make technical changes that temporarily affect availability.
20. INDEMNIFICATION
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Common Scents Dog Training LLC and its owners, members, employees, contractors, trainers, representatives, affiliates, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and reasonable expenses arising from or relating to:
Your violation of these Terms;
Your misuse of the App;
Your User Content;
Your violation of another person's rights;
Your conduct involving your dog; or
Your implementation of training information provided through the App.
21. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP AND ITS CONTENT AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”
COMMON SCENTS DOG TRAINING LLC DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, AND RESULTS TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or compatible with every device.
22. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the App, our services, applicable laws, platform requirements, or business practices.
When material changes are made, we may provide notice through the App, by email, or through another reasonable method.
Continued use of the App after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
23. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or use of the App shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in the State of Kansas.
24. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
25. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms constitute the agreement between you and Common Scents Dog Training LLC regarding use of the Common Scents Dog Training mobile application, except where additional terms are expressly presented and accepted for a particular purchase or service.
